i have recently discovered that there is a word to describe me. and that word is dilettante.
…it’s a bit of a bugger, really…
so i thought it was about time that i tried not to be. this is part of that attempt.
wish me luck.

Yes, but don’t confuse the opposite of the dilettante with fame and recognition.
*Sigh*. Sometimes our moments of profundity, greatness and genius are, alas, as short-lived as an apple pie. We toil away in our nooks only from some little and brief praise. I, myself, have made it quite clear what I want: fame, fortune and nothing less. I’m still waiting…
lol! sadly today’s popular culture often brings fame and recognition (for what, i often don’t know) to far too many dilletantes. that, at least, i know better than to ask for. ah well. give me apple pie (or, even better, chocolate cake) and i will be happy.
as long as you keep writing whilst you wait for fame and fortune to shower upon you (so i have something good to read with my tea and chocolate cake) you will still be bringing the sunshine as only you can.
